A few weeks ago Hurricane Sally made landfall near Gulf Shores, Alabama. The slow-moving Category 2 Atlantic Hurricane met the shoreline with 105 mph winds and brought inches upon inches of rain. Streets once filled with drivers turned into rivers, flowing with debris. Boats docked in their seaside homes were drug miles inland onto deserted land. Thousands were left without power and the damage left behind totaled billions of dollars.
